Never got around to telling her

There wasn’t enough time; I haven’t had a free moment in the last 19 years. Or maybe I forgot; I’ve known for as long as I can remember, maybe I assumed she knew too.

The car holds the boxes to move her from her childhood bedroom to her first home-of-her-own, and she says “I need you to tell me about laundry.”
